A graduate in industrial relations from Université de Montréal, Sébastien Savard helped found and grow the Cirque du Soleil’s sourcing team, in addition to developing the sourcing function and candidate prospecting strategy for Keurig Canada.
His recruitment experience at RONA, Cirque du Soleil and Keurig have kept him at the forefront of new trends. Very early on in his career, he rejected the transactional recruitment approach: Why wait for top candidates? Go out and get them!
Sébastien has been part of a number of special projects to implement best recruiting practices within teams facing unique challenges in Montreal and around the world.
Sébastien has taken part in sourcing mandates in Europe, Asia, Australia and the U.S. Over the course of these mandates, he has made presentations on the subject, taken part in international meetings and maintained pipelines of passive candidates, helping him achieve an annual hiring rate of 40% from candidate identification.
He also has extensive experience evaluating candidates using a behavioural approach, having received training and certification in competency modeling and competency-based selection from an internationally recognized institution.
As founding partner of Pollen, Sébastien wants to help as many organizations as possible benefit from the art and science of sourcing.
